I am restless. Not in a bad way. Its more excitement and anticipation. I feel big changes coming. People are starting to see the cruelty in the world for what it is and refusing to take part in it anymore. Their eyes are being opened. A snowball effect is happening. So much has changed in the almost eight years since I went vegan. Vegan restaurants popping up everywhere, vegan options taking over shelves in grocery stores, laws being enacted to protect animals, cruel traditions coming to an end, protesters growing in number. I am proud to be on the right side of history. Some day people will look back as they do with all important causes and wonder how we could use, abuse and kill so many animals. I am so grateful for those choosing veganism over killing and for all my fellow activists around the world who give so much of themselves to lessen the suffering, save lives and make the world a better place. Its happening.
