I am sad to say our week is over for the 2013 Hardee’s Collegiate Players Championship. What a great week it was with our first two time winner in John Boehme University of North Carolina- Charlotte firing a 9-under par score with rounds of 68-67-72-207 and Samantha Gotcher of Middle Tennessee State shooting rounds of 72-76-70-218. Both players received $2,500 scholarships to their universities and took home the Hardee’s crystal the best trophy on the planet. To all the players former and new what a pleasure it was to put on this event for you on behalf of my tour Southeastern Collegiate Golf Tour; my staff and volunteers we thank you for participating you have a friend in me always. You players not only showed us your talent of golf you also displayed professionalism in your stay here at Perdido Bay Golf Course and I thank you for that. None of this is possible without my great sponsors beginning with Greg Hazard of Hardee’s with you Greg this tournament would not be possible for these fine young men and women, Noah Moseley of the Old River Optimist Club and members for the wonderful BBQ Beach Party everyone had a great time at the beach. David McCarthy and Carrie Hall of Ferguson Airport/Wrong Brothers Flight Academy who not only sponsored the 2-person best ball portion of the tournament but took my players on a helicopter rides. A big shout out to Wayne Webster and Kristy Homan of J.Lindeberg for the great golf shirts they supplied for the players not only for the Hardees tournament but with my tour stops with the juniors as well. Saving the best for last John Markham and his wife Christy of the Perdido Bay Cottages and our golf professional Dan Swomley without your hard work with dealing with me which is not easy a big thank you for your efforts in making this a great tournament. Special thanks to my beautiful daughter Danielle and her friend Sara who drove down from St. Louis for their hard work I love you Danielle. Now to my wonderful players I hope to see a lot of you back in December for the Hardee’s/ Old River Optimist Collegiate December 27-30, 2013 please help me spread the work on the college circuit for that event and next summer expansion you have a friend in me whether it’s in my tournament or you are passing through Pensacola you are always welcome.
