I am sick seeing all the dogs and cats at the Manhattan Center shelter in NYC about to die today in less than an hour. It makes me sick that in a rich city they havent figured out that they could make this shelter NO KILL if they changed their approach and actually worked on getting these animals adopted. It is being done in many cities and rural shelters but only because those people actually WANT to stop the needless killing of these animals, have stopped listening to their own excuses and applied themselves to saving these animals. Convenience killing is NOT even the most cost effective way to shelter these animals. It is time these people acquire the creativity and mindset to stop this horror and do the right thing by these animals. We are not talking some third world country here, this is NYC!!
