I am so amused - I just got myself kicked out of The M.E. Chat Room. Why ? Because I dared to share some information that I foolishly thought they would find interesting about a research conference. It is being organised by Action For M.E. who, apparently, are the devil in disguise according to that groups chief admin. When I dug myself in even deeper by politely asking people not to over-react, and saying that we should all stand together as we are stronger together, I got a polite message from said admin saying no hard feelings, but there obviously were hard feelings because I have been kicked out and blocked ! To be honest, judging by the over-heated comments from some people in that group I am starting to think that the idiot-in-chief Simon Wessley may have a point about some people - mass hysteria ! Am I offended about being shown the door ? No Im not. I was going to leave anyway as I have an allergy to small-minded people. I cant stand that them & us attitude. Surely any organisation who stands up for us is to be welcomed, but they have some strange idea in their tiny minds that AFME support the psychological thinking on M.E. Well, I have been a member for 20 years and have never once heard them endorse this rubbish. They have been supportive and helpful to me and have given me valuable information to help me to help myself. Right, who else can I offend tonight ?...........
