I am so grateful that I listened to my little voice that insisted - TopicsExpress

I am so grateful that I listened to my little voice that insisted that I bring Aayla in to the vet yesterday morning. We drove over there when they opened and I politely insisted that she needed to be seen that morning. They drew blood, gave me something to ease her pain (which she wouldnt take) and asked me to get a urine sample (that she wouldnt cooperate for). I watched all day yesterday and today as she declined. She wouldnt eat, she could barely walk and looked so scared! My heart was breaking for her! Then, at 7:45 tonight, the vet called and told us that she had the lab results and it appears Aayla has Addisons Disease. It can be life threatening and she needed treatment immediately. The doctor said she was at the office doing paperwork, so if we wanted to come down, she could administer the medication. Aayla will be on this medication for the rest of her life. If not for the loving concern of Dr. Jonna Fulton, I shudder to think of what might have happened if we had had to wait even overnight. It was that dire a situation. Dr. Fulton is an angel! And, in about an hours time, I can already see the difference in my old girl. Thank you!
