I am sorry to everyone who is asking for updates on my Mommy. I have been so overwhelmed. This has been a crazy,roller coaster of emotions for me.... as of this morning the Dr said she is slowly but surely improving. Her infection levels have decreased and her white blood cell count is exactly where they need it to be. They have weaned off of one blood pressure medication. So now she is just on one. Since her blood pressure dropped a little today they had to up the dosage a l ittle bit. But again they were lowering it as I was leaving a little bit ago. She is swollen due to fluids being the wrong places but they have given her albumin which is a protein. That,is helping with this issue. And Doc says the swelling will continue to go down as she gets better. They have lowered the ventilator from 100% all the way,down to 40%,but with a pressure control setting. So Thats good. Her lungs are working OK. Her kidneys still remain in tact and function properly. She is semi coherent and will squeeze my hand and acknowledge I am there. Unless she is sleeping deeply or if she was in pain they usually up her morphine..... still a long road ahead but the prayers are being answered. Please keep them coming. Again I am so very thankful to all of you. You are all helping me help her survive this. I love you all.
