I am such a luddite - can someone answer this for me? I think my computer is infected with spyware. I downloaded mackeeper from a website and then after installing it they give me an activation code and a number to call and the person on the phone wants to access my computer to tell me whats going on with it and to clean it. This seems very suspicious and salesman-ny to me, so I hung up even though Ive paid them $14 and now Im feeling nervous. Everything about the internet/computer and all I dont understand about spying and data stealing freaks me out. Can somebody explain to me what I should do? Is there a safe way to clean my mac and get rid of spyware if its infected? Nigel French Hugh DAndrade , can you help?
