I am super excited to be a new Volt owner and this is my first official post :) Im heading to Calgary tomorrow to pick up my car (shipped from Vancouver) and it will be a 200km drive home. It will be charged/filled with gas when I pick it up but I was wondering what the best strategy for maximizing my highway electric range should be? Im already a very conservative driver (historically Ive worked hard to get the best fuel efficiency out of my 04 Camry V6) so that will help. What is the advantage of using hold? Should I use electric to get out of the Calgary city limits and then use only gas on the highway? But I want to make sure I take advantage of every last bit of electric too... It is essentially a flat drive and nearly straight as an arrow. Any tips??
