I am sure that David Sorensen has now realized that he sent out a false press release claiming that Mike Michaud for Governor produced and made a video containing offensive song lyrics about Senator Collins (the video was actually made and produced by Alex Steed who has no connection to the campaign). That said, I wonder if he knows that Matthew Gagnon, then working for the Republican Governors Association, promoted the same song on facebook and specifically gave said inappropriate reference his seal of approval? And that Jason Savage, ED of the Maine Republican Party, also tweeted the lyrics in reference to a democratic state senator just yesterday? In reality, I expect that neither Alex nor Matt nor Jason had a clue what the reference meant. Maybe we should all check around to make sure we arent making false accusations nor ascribing false intent...
