I am tried because I am white being called a racist and mostly it is the obtuse whites whos intent is to spread hate and discontent in the black population. Lets set some fact straight now. 1. Lincoln was a Republican not a Democrat 2. It was the White people who were against slavery and fought to end slavery. Only 2% of the whites owned slaves. Black Africans sold their own into slavery. 3. The KKK was formed by the Democrats. The first Klan was founded in 1865 in Pulaski, Tennessee. They were segregationist white Democrats wanting to regaining political power. The KKK engaged in terrorist raids against African Americans and white Republicans at night, employing intimidation, destruction of property, assault, and murder to achieve its aims and influence upcoming elections. In a few Southern states, Republicans organized militia units to break up the Klan. In 1871, the Ku Klux Act passed Congress, authorizing President Ulysses S. Grant to use military force to suppress the KKK. The Ku Klux Act resulted in nine South Carolina counties being placed under martial law and thousands of arrests. In 1882, the U.S. Supreme Court declared the Ku Klux Act unconstitutional, but by that time Reconstruction had ended and the KKK had faded away. 4. Even as the South was being rebuilt, the votes in Congress consistently revealed a continuing pro-slavery philosophy on the part of the Democrats. 5. Three years after Appomattox, the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, granting blacks citizenship in the United States, came before Congress: 94 percent of Republicans endorsed it. 6. 1957 President Dwight Eisenhower, a Republican, deployed the 82nd Airborne Division to desegregate the Little Rock, Ark., schools over the resistance of Democrat Gov. Orval Faubus. 5. The Democrats again have enslaved the Blacks using Welfare, Food stamp etc. Dont challenge me with Racism because Ill slam it right back in your face with facts. I am not a Republican and I do not like Obama period. And dont piss me off early on a Saturday morning.
