I am very pleased that Secretary Kerry is going to Ukraine. His presence will send a strong message to Ukranians that the U.S. is a friend. I hope he visits with a message of solidarity and union and with diplomatic and economic help to assist Ukraine through its difficult time. Further, the U.S. should call for the placement of Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) observers to confirm or refute the Russian Presidents claim that groups are targeting Ukranians of Russian descent. I condemn any kind of violence against Ukranian citizens. Put observers on the ground to report actual events. Ill have letter out soon to those who wrote to the office.
