I attended a trans*(transgendered) health conference. It was fantastic. On a personal level as a Pacific trans person of color. I found it a microcosm of larger society even though we were all members of a minority the privileges of perceived race and class remained. The lesson I learnt was to push myself to engage more and approach people and talk to people as a person. If they engage they do if not they dont. Great information shared.
