I believe in YOU Mark Travis-Smoke . I love you. I forgive you I see and know a very strong, intelligent and loving you. You are not the same man you were 20-30 yrs ago ...your not even the same man i met a little over 8 years ago. Some habits are hard to break...but if you can recognize where it is stemming from...you can stop what you are doing before you do it. I am proud of you.. that you are looking inside yourself and taking ownership for your mistakes. I feel honored to be able to watch you enter a new chapter of your life on the red road. As we grow in life, we take many steps forward and a few steps back. The objective in life is to keep moving forward. We were not in control of what other people did to us in our past...but we are very much in control of what we do, what we think and what we say. It is normal to act out when we are young because of things that happened to us, but as we grow and we become aware of what we are doing and why...it is important that we take ownership of our own behavior. Sometimes when we are projecting shit outward...it`s actually the shit that we feel about ourselves. Our self defeating tapes we play over and over for ourselves keeps us from our true unique self...they keep us from reaching our potential...and loving our selves. Forgiveness is a tough life lesson...and there will be many times in our lives that we have an opportunity to practice it. Sometimes it is easier to forgive others, than to forgive ourselves. For some people who have had tough lives forgiveness takes practice...and i don`t think it is ever perfect ...but once you get there...it sure feels good. Forgiving our self is when we finally feel the freedom from those heavy chains (self defeating tapes, baggage or negative emotions) that feel so familiar.
