I believe over thinking things and being too much in our heads is the killer of creativity and flow. I had the chance to chat with Gram Nash a couple of days ago, back stage at his concert (hes the big rockstar famous for such songs as Our House.) I asked him, what inspired him to write many of his popular songs and he told me that he simply writes about what is in front of him, what he is experiencing at the time. In fact, many of songs were written in 4 minutes. If we can take those words of inspiration and apply to our own lives of creation, perhaps many of us will experience less blocks and more flow ;)!
