I believe the reason someone becomes a terrorist is because they have been emotionally and mentally traumatized in lives, causing them to lose faith in humanity. These terrorists are people who have been hurt gravely, one way or another somewhere in their past, so much so they want the rest of the world to feel their pain. The moment someone loses their grounding, they can be easily manipulated. Just because of a few verses in the Quran that states war and military intervention, these emotionally and mentally incapacitated beings who have lost hope in their lives jump onto the notion that violence is the most appropriate action to take as seemingly portrayed by the religion but actually is the result of terrorist groups all around the world. And due to that myopic view point, these damaged beings head out to execute the innocents because they want others to feel their pain, but unfortunately their actions led to the rest of the world having the misconception that the Quran taught them that violence was the only way out, never realizing that violence begets violence.
