I believe youre never too old for play dough! When I set the little two up with half a batch each to colour this morning, the 8 and almost 12 year olds wanted in on the action, so Master 8 got to making them a batch of their own. I love this stuff. It lasts so well, and is quite therapeutic. :) It got to 30 degrees C today. Apparently. The kids took all the sunshine as reason enough to set the sprinkler up on the trampoline for a short while, and then come in for coconut yoghurt blueberry ice treats Id prepared last night. It was funny because Id already thought to whip something up with the yoghurt and berries when I saw Karens post on her Food, Glorious Friendly Food page…I didnt have to think about it any further because it was all right there. foodgloriousfriendlyfood/blog-and-recipes/frozen-berry-yoghurt The kids thought they were fantastic. And Im loving the silicone Calippo-esque icy pole molds I picked up for $5. Easy to clean, unlike all of those supposedly reusable zipsicle things that ended up collecting by the sick before going to the bin last summer! Todays sunshine had me a little nostalgic, and craving barbecued food. My husband was out walking one of the dogs, so I got to work. I realised, quickly, as the resident earwigs, cockroaches, and daddy longlegs retreated with great haste, that I totally suck at barbecuing! I cleaned the plate, added the chicken and zucchini, and minutes later there was a great flare-up from the depths…last summers sausage sizzle??? I salvaged things and it was all good, despite its appearance, but think that next Australia Day barbecue that we host (because we do it every year) Ill be paying close attention to my friend, Nudge, as he usually mans the equipment. Its something Id like to master one day. I made this spicy lemon paprika chicken, which was delicious, and not too spicy for the littlies, so Ill be making it again and will make extra for lunches next time. recipecommunity.au/main-dishes-meat-recipes/spicy-lemon-paprika-chicken/133208
