But let an exasperated, weary baseball manager crack a joke—a very old one at that—and the entire country lands on his head. For some reason, he felt the need to immediately apologize despite absolutely no evidence that he currently beats his wife or anyone else for that matter. He apologized again before the day was over and then offered up several more mea culpas the following day. He felt so guilt-ridden that he even offered to privately do penance at a domestic violence shelter. Last night, on Let It Rip, Fox 2s Huel Perkins asked if Brad Ausmus should be fined. And now some woman is even calling for a boycott of the Tigers. Really? What do you think? Have we gone entirely too far in this age of political correctness?
