I came up with this new, crazy style of eating/ diet plan. Its called LTYB, Listen To Your Body. If you are full, stop eating. if you are hungry, eat. if you are craving sugary stuff (which I do often) eat some protein, some veggies and some fat and then see how you feel. If you still want carbs eat some fruit or sweet potato. if you feel tired and rundown, you may need carbs. It took me a long time to get here. I used to restrict calories like crazy, then I learned to eat clean and it became about the quality of food I ate as opposed to quantity. Then I became overly concerned with my macros and when I ate them. Then I tried Paleo which was awesome because it helped me feel less restricted when I could eat things like bacon, and it helped push me to give up energy drinks. But I wasnt a fan of only eating a few large meals a day. Then I tried carb cycling and I found that on the days I was allowed to eat carbs I would binge eat them, and that all or nothing mentality wasnt especially healthy either. Now I just listen to my body. I dont force feed myself breakfast anymore when Im not hungry. I like to eat large dinners and I used to feel bad about that, but clearly my body likes a lot of food then so why deny it? my point is that we are all extremely different people and what works for some doesnt work for all. Experiment and try new things and find what works for you.
