I cannot speak for every creative mind out there, but here is a glimpse into what mine is like. Imagine if you will, a t.v. that constantly changes channels. The remote is lost and all the buttons on the t.v. are stuck. Not one station stays on the screen for more than a second. This is my mind. I think about, literally, a hundred or more ideas within a day. People who know me well, and have frequent conversations with me know that I will not stay on a particular subject for longer than five minutes. It may seem, and may very well be, that I have the attention span of a gnat. It starts with: I want to build a bookshelf, I want to paint this on a banner, I should paint this on a canvas, I want to paint this object, I want to make this out of this, this would be an excellent tattoo, Im ready to get this pierced, I want to highlight my hair this color, did I buy this necessity, I want to cook this, I need to buy the dog this, I should go walking, I need to catch up on this game, I should really read this book, and so on and so on. Thats an average day and it happens between 90-95% of the day. With little sleep in between. So if youre having a conversation with me and I bounce between subjects fairly quickly, be kind. I cant help it.
