I cant BELIEVE todays is the 3rd anniversary of MY death... on THIS DAY, 3 years ago, all that I had known about being a man, died and was resurrected as the father of a little girl... on THIS DAY, 3 years ago, I buried the entire essence of WHO I WAS, and celebrated WHO SHE WOULD BECOME...I reflect on the homegoing of the LESSER ME, and remember the tears... NOT because I would NEVER SEE HIM AGAIN, but because of the JOY OF NEVER SEEING HIM AGAIN... Now everytime I see this 3 year old blessing HE left behind, Im nothing short of ASTOUNDED... how at 1 years old, she was reading her own bedtime stories... how at 2 years old, she could look at a blank map of the U.S., and identify EVERY STATE AND ITS CAPITALS... Now at 3 years old, shes reading at a 4th grade level, speaks in 4 languages, AND is the ABSOLUTE LIGHT OF MY LIFE... Evelynn Rose, on this, the anniversary of YOUR LIFE and MY death, I REpledge my commitment to being your protector, your provider, your friend, and your DADDY!
