I cant believe I need to do this, but I feel I have to address - TopicsExpress

I cant believe I need to do this, but I feel I have to address something in regard to posts on this page, past, present and future, sharing information on missing/stolen sausages. I often share these, both on my own pages and also in the many dachshund groups and other related pages on social media - the reason I do this is that I have a large following and reach online, and what better use of this could there possibly be, than to aid in the search and recovery of a missing dog? Every time I do this I know that at least a few people will wrongly assume that the missing dog was lost while staying with us here at Sausage Dog Hotel, and that they will then go on to make negative comments about this on the posts themselves, or discuss in other groups how outrageous it is that so many dogs can go missing from one place. They do this without even reading the posts, as with even at a casual glance in most cases they would see that the dogs are missing from other areas entirely, were with their owners or dog walkers at the time, and are often spread far and wide throughout the country. Naturally this upsets me greatly, but what angers me even more is that it detracts from the most important issue at hand, which is sharing information and helping to find these missing dogs. By sharing these posts, I am more than willing to risk my name/reputation being either accidentally or in some cases deliberately and maliciously tarnished in discussions elsewhere, as everyone who truly knows me and my operation, knows that all I care about is the dogs. I urge everyone to just stop and think before making such ridiculous comments - take today for example - I posted information about 3 different dogs, that went missing from 3 different areas, on 3 different days, in 3 completely different scenarios, but within an hour I had seen several comments, received several messages, and heard from friends about other discussions taking place about ‘all those dogs going missing from Sausage Dog Hotel’. Today is a day that many people have some time to browse online, so I took this opportunity to raise awareness of these missing dachshunds in the hope that the posts can reach the maximum number of people. I thank everyone who has shared these, and please if you haven’t already, take a few moments to share it on your own pages and groups. It really helps, and these babies need to make it home to their frantic humans. At the end of the day, how, why and from who they went missing is not really the thing to focus on - finding them is. Thanks for all your support and Happy New Year - Phil :)
