I cant control what other people hear, Sweet Love; theyre allowed to look at me, and see whatever it is they think they want; but youre the only one Im asking to join me behind the scenes, back-stage, inside my green room; where the show gets put on pause and the masks and the costumes are removed and stored away for the night, while the audience goes back home to wrestle with the residual effects of all the things theyve witnessed. My mind is always swimming in an ocean so vast & limitless that whether I want it to or not it has always held within it all of the pieces of everything and everyone Ive ever known; and my heart has always been just as big - but it seems, these days my minds eye can only seem to ever find its focus in you. Sometimes an old good-bye that was never given the opportunity to be said properly can only be brought about in the face of a new hello. Backwards isnt a place I want to go anymore, and Ive been sitting at this crossroads far too long. Its time for me to walk, and swim, and fly again; its time to laugh, and smile, and cry again; its time for our heros journey to continue focused on all of the things hes found instead of all the things hes lost.
