May 1996. I needed a second job while I was out of school. I got a job as a front desk clerk at a hotel in DeWitt, the Sleep Inn. The gal who was assigned to train me was roughly my age, unbelievably pretty, funny, and exceptionally smart. within 2 weeks I had staggered and stammered my way through asking her out. I still to this day cant believe she said yes...... fast forward to this exact day 14 years ago. A new millennium had dawned, the economy was still strong, gas was cheap, open hostility was masked by rampant Marijuana use, and Austin Powers was still culturally relevant. This amazing women said I do when the minister asked if she would marry me. I still cant believe that I got this lucky, I still dont deserve her, and I still thank God that she puts up with me on a daily basis. Love you, Holly . Will always love you most of all. You are still the okay-est!
