“THE CRUCIFIXION OF AN INNOCENT MAN”==Many innocent men and women throughout the ages have been put to death and it will continue until the end of time but there is one innocent man that chose execution. In 1965 a movie was made about this man titled ”The greatest story ever told” but it didn’t do Him justice, we hear this story told every April at what the world calls “Easter” and even this is a farce, most churches here in North America glamorize it into almost a spectacle. The easter parade with women in their finest clothes and jewelry, the children on their egg hunts and the baskets filled with grass and candies, all of this is an abomination to the man we are supposedly honoring and remembering. For the believers in Christ read the old testament about Easter and hot cross buns and colored eggs and how the Lord abhors it yet we continue year after years with the same old rituals. If we were to celebrate anything on that Sunday it is the crucifixion of an innocent man and I will now present the true story of this man, The Apostle Paul told this story in a very short sentence in his first letter to Timothy:== “God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory”. Look at this 1st. line “God was manifest in the flesh”, can it get any clearer that this God would give up His heavenly domain to come to this earth and take on a human body in the form of Jesus Christ because He loved His creation of man so much that He was willing to die for them so that all who would come to Him and live for Him would be able to spend eternity with Him in the end. This man, Jesus Christ, through the humiliation and the grueling torture He suffered did not have to suffer, In fact the night He was arrested He told Peter “Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? Even at the beginning at His interrogation and kangaroo court hearing He never once gave a defense for Himself, even Pontius Pilate said he could find nothing to charge him with yet in his fear of the people he ordered Jesus whipped that most undoubtedly tore His back to shreds, with regret Pilate sentenced him to death, before taking that long journey to the cross the guards spit in His face as they punched Him repeatedly in the face knocking Him down, they pulled the hair of His beard out of His face while they placed a wreath made of thorns and placed it on His head, as the blood ran down His face they taunted Him saying “Hail to Jesus, the king of the Jews”. On his way to the cross they had to have someone carry His cross probably because He was too weak to carry it and the people jeered Him on the way. Picture if you can them laying Him on the cross and driving nails into His hands and feet and then standing the cross upright where His blood run down from all of His wounds. This brutality and crucifixion that Jesus suffered was done voluntarily because of the love He had for humanity, Myself and many others in this world continually speak of the Salvation of Jesus Christ, on the 3rd day after His death He rose back to where He came from and now through those he chooses to tell this story, He offers all that will call upon His name and allow Him to be their Lord and Savior to have life everlasting with Him, This gospel of Jesus Christ is the death, burial and resurrection and now you have the reason He chose to do this all, you are the reason, simple as that, as long as you have breath in your body the chance to come to Him is still there, if you die soon (Maybe today) and you continue to reject His offer your fate is sealed. If you’ve read what I wrote you won’t be able to say “I didn’t know” because now you do. Remember this of this man Jesus: “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends”.
