I cant make this stuff up... 7:00 flight delayed twice followed by ground stop in Minneapolis and entire closure of Rochester airport until 2 pm due to icy runway. Then, surprise! Airport suddenly open again. (Where did the ice from 30 minutes ago go?!) Now looks like we will board only to go through a heavy deicing process if we dont time out and have to deplane. I have plan B and another ticket in my back pocket leaving Minneapolis at 4 and returning to Tampa, not Sarasota... And one way rental cars on both ends. Funny part: had another passenger offer to share a rental car to Minneapolis... My response - no, Im good. That feels too oddly similar to the planes trains and automobiles movie. Will be interested to see how this unfolds...
