I constantly hear and read things about how the Pirates have lost an entire generation of fans. That makes no sense to me. Yes, it is true that my generation has had a rough go of it over the years, but the fact is that no one has been lost. While I have been dying for a winner of the past 20+ years, my love for the team and the city never changed. Most of us who were middle school age when Sid Bream broke our hearts now have young kids of our own. What better time is there than the right now to raise someone as a Pirate fan. I cant speak for most of the kids of my friends, but I can tell you that my kids are absolutely LOVING this ride. I just wish they didnt have to go to bed before the game ends tonight.
