I could NEVER be one of those parents. Those parents.... the type to stop being a parent once their child hits 18, the type to do just enough before 18, the type to ignore my grandchildren, the type to give to myself before my children, the type who wont pick up the phone to call and say hi, how are you? just because my children havent called me... actually if they dont call me i will be stalking them like a nut job, the type to show the world my monetary gains on FB but not even send my kids or grand kids a card to acknowledge them on the holidays, births of their children, etc. The type to allow my spouse or significant other to treat my children negatively in any way. MEN... A girl never stops needing her father even when she becomes a woman. She will never stop needing that hero, the person to have her back, the one she can lean on and show her the example of a man or guide her through the paths that life may bring- whether good or bad. I made a promise to myself a very long time ago.. i will always be here, whether they are 1, 10, 25 or 75. They are the reason for my existence and everything i do and have belongs to them.
