I could not agree more with this image. Being a former college - TopicsExpress

I could not agree more with this image. Being a former college athlete even though my sport was cross country and less competitive and less contact than some others I still represented my college/university. All college university athletic teams participants should be privately payed a regular paycheck on a consistent basis because the students sport is a job. It is the only job they can really fully commit too outside of their studies if they are going to be the best athlete they can be. Weather one wants to admit it or not and I know this from experience working and going to college and doing a sport makes you less committed to the sport. And even if it takes a small toll it takes a toll on your body energy away from workouts. I think that yes college is a choice a life path that oe can rise or thrive with or without i also know that being an athlete is a choice so it should in no way be gov/tax funded, but... I think that colleges should not receive any public/gov/federal funding I think all they should get is tuition from students and parents and donations from generous people who ask for nothing in return But as for where the athletes pay should come from? I think it should come from the same place professors/admissions and office workers pay comes from the university budget. What do you think?
