I do have my handsome black/tan male Jonah left. He is shy around - TopicsExpress

I do have my handsome black/tan male Jonah left. He is shy around you at first, then he acts all excited to see you. I think he is independent and very smart in figuring out things. He learned how to climb over the whelping box in record time. A neighbor did his temperament testing. He follows moving objects readily, listens/locates loud noises, scored average on touch sensitivity, chases object and returns without object to tester, no struggle with elevation dominance, rolls over when petted and tries to lick hands, follows readily, hesitates coming to strangers. He is a sweetheart ! He was the first to figure out that if he followed humans or the other puppies to the puppy pen, he was going to get locked up, so he stopped following anyone to the pen.I can get him to follow his mother in there. When I call all the puppies, he never just runs to me like the others do; he watches to see why I’m calling unless he hears food hit the pan !. He totally gets the concept of the potential for not-fun consequences. He’s also the bravest, though. I picture him latching on to one human like he does my youngest. I can see him with other dogs, but I think he would be fine by himself. I can also picture him as a watch/companion/guard dog.
