I do have to giggle. Received this message from one of these personal development experts mentioned below on my Coach Bobbi page: FYI in case you or someone you know is interested in details. Would you like to co-author a book with personal development experts XXXX and XXXX? The next international best seller XXXXX will be released this fall. XXXX was Tony Robbins first mentor and Jim Rohns business partner. XXXXX had had hundreds of thousands attend his Mind Mastery programs. The marketing reach and exposure is extensive. Available spots are extremely limited. Excellent move for your promotion. Worldwide distribution. No Hello Bobbi, no I know this about your work and this is why weve approached you etc. Now, I know were all different, but I kind of think when you position yourself as a personal development expert, you would want to know about and practice the art of rapport. It was one of the very first subjects I was taught when I did my year long study to become a life coach back in 2007. Rapport is having the ability to link yourself to another person, to be on the same wavelength, have another feel that they like you, or want to be like you. Rapport assists in building trust in a relationship therefore making people more open to accepting your suggestions. Building rapport is getting to know and understand the person you approach to interact with, rather than aiming to convince them to like and accept you first. In spending a little time focusing on the other person, you can commence to create trust and likeability. They will be more open then to who you are, what you are about and any suggestions you make. The value in your communication is in the response that you get. Although they seem to have hundreds of thousands of followers, I wont be responding to this message. Im a rapport kind of girl, myself.
