I do not seek what is yours, but you...” And I will most gladly - TopicsExpress

I do not seek what is yours, but you...” And I will most gladly spend and be expended for your souls.(2 Corinthians 12:14-15a). I know of no better or more succinct ministry focus than these verses. They speak to every leader, and give us a measure with which to evaluate our activity in peoples lives. We always face temptation to value people for what they can do for us—the benefit we gain from their musical talent, organizational ability or people-skills. We can lose sight of them as people whom we are supposed to serve. And more than we might realize, we can use their ministry to enhance our own, rather than devoting our ministry to building theirs.
