I do not wish to start any arguments, I only wish to seek truth and justice. In that search I have stumbled on some facts that leave me leaning towards one side of this conflict as opposed to the other. I welcome any and all informative pieces that may refute my postulations, I only ask that you be respectful to one another and myself when engaging in this civil discourse. From what I have collected, the UN agreed to recognize the state of Israel against what is and what has been known as Palestine for quite some time. Israelites never considered Palestine a state because it never declared itself so until after they established Israel. I have heard reports of mass refugee populations caused by the establishments of Israel. I have not read or seen any refutations of the mass exodus of non jews in the Israel/Palestine area. I have also read up on reports of the control of Gazas resources, something that I also have not seen refuted. What a lot of my friends and colleagues have informed me of is the terrorist actions of HAMAS. Now, I am not condoning the act of war for ANY reason, I do ask of you to answer,however, what would you do if you were in the position of non-jews in the Palestinian area? I would very much appreciate if you didnt cite religion in your arguments for or against any side of this conflict. The further I read into this, the more I understand that this is a purely secular battle for land, resources, and public approval. I would love to hear your opinions presented in a well informed, non-combative manner and I will immediately unfriend anyone who resorts to personal, racial, or religious attacks to prove their point.
