I do what I think is the right thing and get a health insurance policy for both of us (already had a policy on Betsy) and it cost us over $750.00 a month, not to mention all the co-pays and deductibles. I was relying on the VA for pretty much all of my treatments. When I would go to the clinic I would be billed a $15.00 co-pay and if I had to go to the VA Medical Center in Lebanon I would usually pay $50.00 to $100.00 depending on what specialty I needed. My last appointments I proudly let them know I had a regular health insurance policy (NOT O-Dumb-Ass Care!). I just got a bill from Highmark Blueshield for over $300.00 for what I would normally pay $65.00 for two appointments! On top of the 4-5 months premiums (almost $4,000.00) Ive already paid! Ill cancel the damned policy and pay their BULLSHIT penalty at the end of the year. I rarely see a doctor for anything and I have my VA. Ill keep Betsys policy though.
