I dont believe the Terrace could be restored as a sole-use movie theater. It would need digital projectors, which are not cheap - tens of thousands of dollars, actually. I believe it could be saved as a multi-use venue, much like The Grand, in Northfield. They took out the seats as far back as under the balcony, and leveled the floor. Then the remaining seats were turned into stadium table seating, with a long bar across the back. The same thing was done with the balcony seating - stadium table seating, with an upstairs bar. This allowed the venue to continue to host music events, dances, theatrical plays, and yes...even movies. :) The Terrace would be a welcome event venue in the Northern Metro, where there arent any classy venues. As a movie theater, it would simply be competing against the Regal 20 in Brooklyn Park, or the New Hope Cinema Grill.
