I dont have to look kude for inspiration i have all the role models i need within my family in the form of my mom and my makazi .. Also dad n uncle but their stories are best untold Siqale ngo makazi A Rural Girl with no form of education whatsoever came to CapeTown hustling for a job. She then worked as a domestic worker in the northern suburbs. Made enough money to start her own shebeen in Nyanga East from there she opened a shop in Nyanga aswell. After sometime she sold the shop and quit the liquor Buissness to buy in the Taxi industry and started off with two taxis and opened a butcher still in Nyanga. Both her new ventures where promising she then left the Nyanga taxi rank to buy in the siteC taxi rank with 4 taxis now and also migrated the butcher to SiteC. She bought a Bond house in the Mitchells plain suburb Mandalay and on top of the 4 taxis bought two mini iveco buses a Toyota Corolla and a 4x4 Toyota bakkie extended her house to a 5 bedroom two toilet huge ass kitchen two dining room 1 sitting room monster with flats e back and two garages n one car pot. A girl with no education noba uno standard 1 if wamgqiba umakazi a rural girl from ngcobo to the Buissness mogul of today. I cannot do anything but bow down to her.. at her age now 61years she still wakes up at 5am evryday of the week Monday to Sunday whole year. I love her all of her hustling was for us the next Pokwana generation. My Mom! A Rural Girl from the unfortunate mud houses of Ngcobo with only a sinior certificate and dreams of becoming a nurse came to CapeTown to help out on her Big sisters Buissnesses and to expand the empire should the chance avail itself.. Unfortunately if you arent the type or fortunately if you are the type her family was approached by my fathers family to ask for her hand in marriage at the age of 20years old b4 she could pursue her desired Studies and at 21years i was born.. She then became a house wife Married to a Dairy Truck driver who then also because a taxi owner with my mom still a house wife taking care of her big sistas Buissnesses. She was living at siteC when i was born 2years later moved to Nyanga east to be close to the Buissnesses she was managing. She later bought a Bond House in iKhwezi Park next to her big sisters neighborhood Mandalay. Mom with 3 children then fought to go back to school with most of her family members opposing the endeavour. She didnt study to be a nurse as she had desired 12years ago. She now is a UCT graduate with a Doctorate Degree in Education. Whenever i thought of giving up thise stories kept me going im not where id love to be and whenever i feel down or discouraged i go through this chapter in my mind and find the strength to keep Going. Their genes are running through my body so the capability is there its just perseverance and determination thats needed from me. Hopefully this story will inspire a few people to Nyakaza. Education is not evrything and if you arent educated now it doesnt mean you will never be educated.. Its never ever too late. #nyakaza
