I dont know anything about this woman (Ive seen her briefly on television and she seems competent) and she may be entirely accurate in her assessment of the underlying motives in this line of questioning. But, before Id buy into her victimization conclusion Id want to know Does she come across significantly more confident than her peer group? and Does she appear extraordinarily confident. If she does, then the line of questioning would be completely legitimate. And, if so, assuming some underlying bigotry would be dishonest and self-pitying. Some people are so brash, so self-possessed that the rest of us mortals marvel at it. And I suspect many people would probably like to know from whom she acquired this trait.
