I dont know what to say.This is hard. The other day I asked for a little prayer for me... it wasnt really so much for me as it was for my wife, Brenda. She had suffered a badly fractured leg on Friday. Her leg was broken in 3 places below the knee. One of the breaks was very bad and would require major surgery. On Sunday morning she had the surgery, which included placing a rod in her tibia. The operation was a success and the surgeon said it went very well. Later that evening, as the anesthesia wore off, she asked for pain meds and was given a strong pill. After 2 hours, she was still suffering severe pain spasms and another strong pain med was given to her through her IV. That knocked her out and she was finally getting some sleep. After about an hour of deep sleep, her heart stopped beating and though she was revived ... and revived again, her heart simply gave out. She died in her sleep and did not awaken to know the heroic measures that were taken by the Staff at Adena Medical Center, Chillicothe, Ohio. I was just talking to her a few minutes before she fell asleep. Life is too fragile and we never know when it will end. Brenda was having it pretty rough lately, but we were not prepared for this... it was too soon. But, on the other hand, she is in no more pain, no more dialysis 3 times a week, no more not being able to catch her breath, no more worrying if she is going to fall and not be able to get back up. April 22, Brenda and I would have celebrated our 15th anniversary. We were right for each other. We always talked about the freight train that came through and swept us off our feet. We always remembered that Look when we knew we had fallen in Love. She is the reason I became obsessed with Disney. We had a special Love that I will always cherish. You may believe that you live too far away, or didnt know her well enough to make a difference... but... you are wrong. The Love and Support shown through your phone calls and posts wishing us condolences and Prayer mean so much to me and my family... and, Im sure, Brenda. Our Niece, Karline said it best in her post of a few hours ago: Heaven gained an Angel last night... Rest peacefully, Auntie Brenda. We Love You.
