I dont know whether to laugh...or laugh. In 2009, while Elie was in the midst of battle, The Jerusalem Post | JPosts daily delivery service stopped suddenly. With a son in battle and the south being bombarded and a bar mitzvah coming and international guests who might or might not arrive if the war did or didnt end before, we honestly didnt notice. When we realized, we thought back and realized between one son being at war and another being bar mitzvahed... it had been well over a month. We called. They refused to credit us more than a month, even though wed been customers for years. We told them to stop delivery, give us the ridiculous weeks credit and good bye Jerusalem Post. They stopped delivery and kept charging us...we stopped their ability to do that (hey, silly us we didnt see why we should be paying for a paper without delivery) in October - several months later. They got a lawyer to threaten us to sue them for non-payment of Oct/Nov and Dec. Then they graciously offered to cancel the lawyers letter. Then, finally, they refunded the amount from March to October. They wouldnt go back any further. Goodbye JP. Almost 2 weeks ago, I got an SMS - do you want 2 weeks free of the Jerusalem Post? Well, not if I have to give you my credit card. I didnt, so I said, sure, why not. Lets see what their service is like four years later. We got the paper for the first time on Thursday - and they even called to confirm wed gotten it. Not bad...um...no paper on Friday...strange...no paper on Sunday...yeah. So I SMSed them on Monday...no paper...no paper...no response...no paper...oh - on Thursday, still no response but I got the paper. Ready to settle down...and give it another try...hello Friday - no paper. In what world does free service for two weeks mean on Thursdays only? Sheesh, Jerusalem Post - HOW do you stay in business?
