I dont post a whole lot, but I thought this was important. If you havent heard by now there was a Zero Day flaw discovered and made public over the weekend in Microsofts Internet Explorer. The exploit relies on the user to go to a webpage containing scripts that will allow the hacker complete access to the users computer. Also, if you are connected to a home network, even if it requires a WiFi password, they can gain access to you network, and potentially all the other devices connected to it. Microsoft is in the process of closing the flaw and will release an update hopefully soon. For users running Windows Vista and higher, the update will be pushed to you as a regular Windows update, most likely by a name resembling Internet Explorer Security Hotfix. For now stay away from IE, and try to use Mozilla Firefox, or Google Chrome, as the flaw doesnt affect them. For users that are still running Windows XP, this may be a good time to think about upgrading. As of the 8th of April, Microsoft stopped all support for XP, meaning even when a fix is made, XP users will not receive it and will continue to be vulnerable. If you need help changing your browser and importing all your settings and data, or need help upgrading your Windows install, let me know and I will be glad to glad to help.
