I dont preach love. Never have. But I get it. I got it when I found the light guiding me every day to where I know Ill end up. All I have to do is look inside, and follow the candle in my soul. That tiny flickering, sometimes guttering, candle has taught me about love. And the stars. Love is not love. Love is introspection. Love is seeing the world in yourself. Love is being one, of many. Love is not singular. Nor is it divine, in that anyone other ourselves can truly love...ourself. That light MUST burn. Try as we might to cherish it, to hold onto it, we by measure, extinguish it. When that flame is all but gone out, there is only cold darkness to replace it. And that coldness, that darkness is full of monsters, and pain, and fear. Faith is what keeps that candle burning. When faith is strong, and righteous, it will fuel that light, casting its warmth and light into even the darkest parts of our lives. But when faith is not righteous, when fear and pain are held hidden from the cleansing flame, it is corrupted and twisted. Love becomes Hate, and you see the world in spite of yourself. Angels become Devils. All because of a candle in the soul...
