I dont think it unrealistic to suppose that when I post clips of classical music, they are seen largely by people who, like most of my friends and acquaintances, do not really care about classical music enough to listen to clips of music they already feel they know or dont need to. For this reason, Id like you to know that when I post such clips on my Timeline (as distinct from my postings to my Psychedelicious Voices page, which is an opt-in locale), I am addressing them to people who perhaps even feel they dislike classical music, but whose tastes are possibly close enough to mine in other areas that I feel they could appreciate them. In other words, I dont just post music because I like it, but choose what I sense may reach the difficult-to-approach ears and provoke increased curiosity about the enormous realm of music that so many avoid because it can seem so difficult to navigate, let alone to determine which of its multiple performances are really worth listening to. So I suppose what Im saying is Trust me, this is exceptional (and Ive done lots of comparisons and dont think I have shallow taste, IMNSHO.) Heres an example. If youve ever wanted to explore Chopin, but didn;t know how to get into it, this collection of Preludes distils almost everything Chopinesque, and in a performance of first rate stature.
