I dont think my poor feet can carry me further. All Ive done is walk in big circles round Manhattan today. Nothing exciting, but just observing the mundanities of every day New York. That and watching the girls walk by. The women here are stunning and immacculately dressed. As good a reason as any to move here. Just cooling off in Grand Central station with a cup of coffee. Its a hot and sticky day today. Need to find something like an M&S. Running out of clean clothes. All this walking means two chages a day. Feeling quite grimey right now. The up side of it is that Im walking off all that Bath real ale which was starting to show. Ill be a bit thinner when I get back! The Airbnb accomodation thing has worked out well, though I wont do it again. Kinda feel like Im imposing by coming and going as I please. My host isnt someone I relate to which is awkward. Her English is quite good but she says she doesnt understand me. Most people dont so Im used to dealing with that. Its just not relaxing going back if shes there because I have to switch my manners on to full when all I want to do is strip off and take a long hot bath. No idea what to do tomorrow. Feeling fatigued as well as tired. I look five years older each morning. Truth be known I would skip on out to Canada tomorrow if I could change my flight. Really excited about seeing Alex. Still, Im going to do my best to get to Philly. Washington can wait til next year. I doubt the Smithsonian is anywhere near as good as what we have in the UK for air museums, and thats actually the only reason I want to go. Was wanting to buy a few gifts but all the wares in NY are the same bits of tat you can buy anywhere and the street art is pretty crap. Getting something for my niece and nephew but that will have to do. Ill have a weeks worth of photo editing to do when I get back. If my SLR has behaved there will be some really cracking pics. Didnt stay for the end of the game last night since I had no idea what was going on but Bmore beat the Red Sox according to a radom bloke who started to talk to me by USS Intrepid. I suppose I ought to go see Brooklyn while Im here. I just hate going on underground trains and Im no fan of those bus things either. Though I got on one for two stops this morning. Even worse for leg room than British peasant wagons. Quite enjoying the complete break from politics. Have no idea whats been happening in the UK and this week and next... I couldnt care less.
