I dont understand why our Republican politicians keep crying out for a Special Prosecutor to investigate the IRS. Are they really thinking that through? A Special Prosecutor would be assigned to investigate the IRS by the US Attorney General Eric Holder, the White Houses legal water carrier. Why in the world would anyone of us believe that they would appoint someone who is not already in the tank for the presidents purposes? That is why I keep posting articles from Andrew C. McCarthy, who is one of the premier legal minds in the country, who not only knows about the laws (and politics) that govern these matters, but who is also a tireless voice about countering Islamist terrorism over several decades. McCarthy says that a special prosecutor would get us one thing: a complete blackout of information in the IRS investigation, and in the end, a not satisfactory finding that would not expose the criminal acts the IRS was engaged in. McCarthy says there are far more effective tools for congressman to use. So why the heck arent they listening? Is it just a matter of crying out for a special prosecutor that they know the administration is not inclined to appoint - just for the sake of publicity for the congressmen? If that is the case, then somebody slap them! If the administration took them up on the call and appointed a special prosecutor the American people would be screwed in getting the facts or justice. Quit being publicity hounds & do the Peoples business!
