I dont usually do this. I am challenging whoever will to join my wife and I in reading the Bible together in one year. We will be joining several other churches in the San Francisco area in week 40 of their current ongoing plan. It just so happens that in their plan the new testament starts tomorrow. I have come to believe that ,second only to having been born of the Spirit and knowing Jesus personally, knowing the written word of God is of utmost importance. Furthermore if you arent walking after the Spirit daily we can expect little fruit in our lives. According to Jesus His followers bear fruit! I was shocked to learn that many people and even many church leaders do not read the books of the Bible in their entirety but often only study the Bible through the teaching of men. This is an epic mistake. For example, many of the new testament books are best understood when read in their entirety but only if one has thourough knowledge of Jesus teachings which are found in the gospels. Sorry so long winded. Any takers?
