“I don’t need any more distractions in my life!” was my - TopicsExpress

“I don’t need any more distractions in my life!” was my comment to someone recently! She asked if I’m on ‘Whatsapp’ and I said my Facebook addiction was quite enough! I’m looking forward to joining her though, in an adventure for me, a hot yoga class for 1 hour, where she promises I would leave drenched in sweat! Yesterday I reposted an old, but one of my fav posts lately, on focusing on God, trusting and looking for His guidance from moment to moment! This is where I want us all!! I’m also learning to focus my life as well, on what’s important and not allow too much busyness drain me of the energy to spend on doing the right things, and having constant conversations with God as to what exactly those right things are! I’ve found that when I’m not living a frenzied life is when I hear and feel His direction so much more clearly! It’s such a feeling of peace when I KNOW exactly what route to take! And how do we get closer and closer to God and feel His perfect sense of direction for our lives? By simplifying and spending more quality time with Him! Every day before leaving out for work I try to spend a few minutes reading one of my meditation books and this have helped me so much! I leave my house prepared to take on whatever may come my way! Yesterday’s meditation reminded me to continue with my resolutions towards becoming a better me (including less Facebook!)…“ As our intention is, so will be our progress; and he who desires perfection must be diligent. If the strong willed man fails frequently, what of the man who makes up his mind seldom or half heartedly?” This morning I got a real special God wink, of a verse that I seem to be showing up all over the place, from a book by Pope Francis, to a coworker telling me of her fav bible verse lately, and when I went to read it on my own, there was that verse again, to even at church on Sunday the Pastor even mentioned it! So today when I saw it showing up again, I was thrilled! It said: “Do you not know? “Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” No matter what comes our way, we’re unflinching because our hope is in God! Sweet! WE ROLL WITH GOD!
