I don’t understand this vilifying the Democratic party for American’s feeling the “pinch”. Democrats had several progressive items they tried to get done and Republicans blocked them. Republican’s blocked: Jobs bills Veteran’s jobs bills Minimum wage increase Tax cuts for the middle class Paycheck Fairness Act Campaign finance transparency The Buffet Rule Now look at what Democrats blocked the Republicans from doing: Repeal of ACA Cuts to... Medicare Medicaid Education SNAP College loan programs Pell grants Farm subsidies Are these not progressive items? You want to punish Democrats for the actions of the Republicans by not voting for them? You want to reward Republicans for these actions by keeping them in office and throw ourselves further under that bus to prove a point? What point? It seems Democrats have been getting their message out and we either have bad memories or we’ve allowed someone to influence our thoughts with this rhetoric that Democrats aren’t doing enough or for not getting their “message out”. Probably a conservative disguised as a progressive. We seem to be our own worst enemy at the moment.
