I dreamt of a world where wars across the globe did not exist. I dreamt of a world where every disagreement did not escalate to be battled territorially but resolved intellectually. I saw a world where every man woman and child being treated with the recognition that they deserved. I saw men respecting women, and women respecting men and the children learning how to do the same amongst others. I saw a world that gathered together from island to island, country to country for the betterment of the world and not in the interst of gaining power, yet gaining unity. I dreamt of a world were vows were kept, I dreamt of a world where the blame being placed upon ones pigmentation as to why one either succeeded or failed. I saw a world where the struggle did not decide your fate, your acceptance, your ability or knowledge or your right to live. I saw a world where children were not neglected, abused or hungry. I saw parents taking care of their offsprings, teaching and training them about what the future holds for them, really embedding right from wrong at an early age and not when they have to ability to walk out. I saw those children succeeding in thanks to what their parents instilled within them. I dreamt of world where whenever someone fell everyone one took notice and displayed care no matter what the situation is. I saw the world being brotherly, I saw mother earth smiling. I witnessed a planet of people and not a world of different skin tones, languages, colors or beliefs. I saw anger diffused by consciously deciding to walk away. I saw those in authority who serve and protect, doing so as they took an oath to do so. Then I opened my eyes and listened to the news and my heart sunk, because the world that could have been is not, and it seems to be pretty far gone for the portion that are incapable of seeing the destruction that is happen not just in other countries but right here in our very own homes. They say dreams do come true. My question to you is where are you taking your dreams. It is sad to say that my reality lives withing my unconsciousness. #WakeUp
