I dropped my mom off @ the Anchorage, AK Airport around 9:00 pm Alaska time tonight (2 hours ago now) for her trip back home to Northern KY. She has a layover & plane change in Minneapolis sometime during the night/wee hours of the morning (this first leg is going to be the longest part of the flight since it originally took us 5 1/2 hours to reach Anchorage from Minneapolis on the trip here back on the 17th). I would really appreciate if yall would keep her in your thoughts & prayers during her trip back home tonight/tomorrow morning. We accomplished quite a bit (getting all my apt furnished. The last piece of furniture that we needed was the desk for the wireless printer that was going to be set up in my bedroom. We had gone to Office Depot last Saturday to look @ the desks. The desk we really liked wasnt on sale @ the time. However, Im thankful she went online today on my laptop while I was at work to look again on the Office Depot website. She saw that same desk that we had looked @, listed in the ad ON SALE, $50 off!!!! WOOT WOOT!!!!! She sent me an email today while I was @ work letting me know that she had seen it in the Office Depot ad online & had called the store for them to hold one for me to pick up this afternoon after work. Now, to just get my neighbors fiancé, Nick to help me get that heavy thing out of the car & up the stairs into the apt & get it put together) during this short 2 weeks that she & I had together here in Anchorage before she left. Now to just get my Equinox here from Washington State. It arrived in Washington State on Saturday, but now we must wait until the 2nd leg driver, whoever they may be, picks it up there in Seattle, WA to finish the last leg of the journey, delivering my precious car & all the 100 lbs of my personal belongings inside it to the Port of Anchorage. Yesterday, when the original transport company called my mom to give her an updated status on the cars delivery date, they told her that they estimate that it could be here to Anchorage by Feb 12th. Im praying that it will be here a little bit sooner than that since Im still using this rental car we got from the Anchorage Airport on Jan 17th. My mom called Alamo Rental Company yesterday after I found her an online coupon code on the Alamo Rental Car website for $25.00 off the weekly rental rate that they accepted from her over the phone. So, for now, I get to keep renting this car after tomorrow through 2/14/2014.
