Want to thank everyone for their kind birthday wishes. I got to spend my birthday studying for the back-to-back contracts and torts tests we had tonight. How delightful. Law school is hard, and in equal measures, boring. Nine years ago I remember dreading turning forty. Now Im clinging tenaciously to my last year of being in my forties. I mourn the loss of Benjamin Reyes. We have a lot of work to do in the next few weeks. We must stop the vile and evil Marshall Tuck. We must pressure #LAUSD board members to do the right thing and pass the Ethnic Studies now LAUSD resolution. We need to pass Prop 46. Meanwhile, I have to try and pass these classes that I dont ever feel comfortable in. At the end of the day our struggles are righteous, and we are working for our self-emancipation as the working class. Thats the best gift anyone could ever receive.
