I feel for the people that temporarily lost their jobs because of the politics from both parties which caused this current government shutdown, but remember there has not been a budget passed (which also causes these continuing budget problems) for the past 5 years, even when one party controlled both houses and the administration. Also remember that the private sector, state governments and school districts have been going through downsizing, shutdowns and layoffs, on a more permanent basis, for several years now. Caused primary by the policies of both political parties, the past several administrations, globalization and the banking industry. Think about all those people that permanently lost their jobs and had to drastically downsize there lives just to survive while the government employee sectors have increased in numbers and pay over that time. My daughter and I lost our jobs in mid 2010 and my wife a year latter, we survived and are still catching up. So think about all those people too, as you listen to all the hand wringing over this government shutdown.
